Russell Broughton Jr.
A Marine Corps veteran, having served as an 0331 infantry machine gunner in Iraq (2008) and Afghanistan (2010). Russell is currently attending college at Ivy Tech for entrepreneurship and is set to graduate in May of 2025. Russell was in heavy combat operations and knows firsthand the struggles of combat trauma. As the president of Warriors in Nature Project Inc., he is passionate about addressing PTSD and helping fellow veterans find healthy, nature-based ways to cope with combat trauma. |

Nathan Simpson
Nathan Simpson is the treasurer for the Warriors in Nature Project Inc. He served in the Marine Corps from 2007 to 2011 as an Amphibious Reconnaissance Marine, completing a deployment to Iraq and a combat deployment to Afghanistan. After his military service, Nathan earned a bachelor's degree in history, focusing on military history, from Colorado Mesa University in 2016. With a deep understanding of PTSD, he is passionate about helping fellow veterans navigate their struggles and find healing through nature and community. |

Brandon Broughton
Brandon Broughton is the secretary of the Warriors in Nature Project. He is a U.S. Army veteran who served as a 45 Bravo. Brandon reached the rank of E-5 during his five years of service. He deployed to Iraq in 2008, gaining valuable experience that fueled his passion for supporting fellow veterans. After transitioning from the military, Brandon has spent over 10 years working as an electrician and is working on becoming PLC certified. He is dedicated to raising awareness about PTSD and helping veterans find healthy ways to cope with combat trauma. |
